Eden Price-Diva in Training

Eden spent a couple of days with G-ma and G-pa Price a couple of weekends ago and g-ma curled her hair. I have been fighting to get my hair as straight as possible much of my life so it doesn't really dawn on me to curl my girls hair. Well, Eden LOVED having curly hair and has been wanting it curled on an almost daily basis so I went out and bought a curling iron (I only own a flat iron). The sad thing is, now I spend more time on her hair than I do my own. I had a bright idea to get some foam curlers that you sleep in but her hair ended up super curly. She was crying when I took them out and looked in the mirror crying and said "this is a bad hair day." She wouldn't let me take her picture and Sawyer stated that he didn't want to look at her. I then spent 20 minutes straightening it out with the curling iron. We won't be doing the foam curlers ever again. She looked like little orphan Annie. So, here are some photos with her curly hair and her curling iron. I actually get a huge kick out of how high-maintenance she is. She is a girl that knows what she wants and how to get it.

Sawyer gets to have a sleepover-FINALLY!!

Sawyer has been wanting to have a sleepover for like 2 years now and I have kept telling him "not until you turn 8." I am sure Faith had sleepovers before she was 8 but boys are just so much more wild and disruptive (or that is how it seems to me). Well, Eden had 2 b-day parties on Sat. and Faith was sleeping over at Emma's so he was feeling pretty bummed. So, I called to see if his friend Ethan could spend the night. They did REALLY well. When Kyle got home from work he took just the two of them out to eat and then they played very quietly until 2:30 the next day. They played Lego's, Bakugon's, Wii and X-box. BTW, Ethan is drinking IBC Rootbeer in the photo in case anyone was wondering.

Beckett's B-day continued...

So I am a little behind on my blog right now. That is because I am obsessed with reading other peoples so I don't even have time for my own. We celebrated Beckett's 1st b-day with both sets of grandparents on Jan. 19th. I was very nervous about letting him have cake because I have been pretty strict with his eating and I was worried about him getting sick. Fortunately he dug right in and didn't get sick. I think the kid has a stomach of steel because he ate A LOT of frosting. I got his cake at Walmart and did a "ball" theme since that is what he loves right now. We made Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner-all the kids love these. I was going to have a private photographer take Beckett's pics. but I decided to have some done of all the kids in the spring when it is pretty out so I went to Sears instead and got the $4.99 package with no sitting fee (I had a coupon)-can you get any cheaper than this??? Okay, so the lady bullied me into a collage so it ended up costing me $35 but still not too bad. I always like to purchase the disk but they like to charge $129 for it (yeah right!!) unless you spend that much and then you get it "free". So, I picked up his photos today and she tried to sell me the disk for $29.99. I see the game they are playing-they try and make you spend a fortune to get it and then when they think all is lost they offer it for $29.99-nice try. The photos I am posting are the ones from Sears but I photographed it with my digital camera and it worked pretty darn good. By the way, I FINALLY got a new digital camera and I love it!!! I picked it out at Best Buy with help from a very knowledgeable, nice employee.

Beckett Reed Price is "1"!!!

My baby boy is one year old today. This has been the fastest year EVER!! With having 3 other kids, moving back from England, building and moving into our house and almost constantly being "on the go" it has just flown by. Time goes faster with every baby that I have. Watching Beckett get older is definitely the most difficult since he is the last. I can't decide if I will me an emotional basket case or relieved on the day he starts kindergarten. I will be close to 40-UGH!!! Of course, I can't help but reflect back to his traumatic birth in England-traumatic for me. Just a recap...We arrived at the hospital in Peterborough at 9 am, they put me in a room and 3 times I had to beg someone to help me. Someone finally came in and they NEVER gave me a robe or gown. Kyle spend 3/4 of my labor trying to find a place to park. I NEVER got an epidural-only gas and air (nitric oxide). Kyle finally made it in (after parking on a curb) and he was born at 10:50 am. He weighed 8 lbs. 10 oz. I was moved into a room with 2 other women (that was stinky) and home by 7 pm. that same night. Yes, my friends that would be a sampling of socialized medicine. Most importantly, he is beautiful, healthy and a joy to our family. I would do it all over again! Well, Beckett is just too stinkin' cute! We all love to sit and just watch him do his thing, which is walk around and get into things. He loves playing with his brother and sisters. I was afraid before he was born that the 4th would be neglected-he is actually the most spoiled. Here is what he is doing now.

1. walking
2. can say "kitty", "ball", "uh-oh", "mom", "da-da"
3. can do "patty-cake", "so-big", shake his head "no-no", point, wave bye-bye
4. he is a dancing machine! when any music is on he is DANCING
5. big "helper" when taking clothes out of the dryer and unloading the dishwasher
6. worst sleeper - ever
7. loves balls and playing catch
8. great eater-mostly on all table foods now
9. gives kisses
10. has four teeth
11. has a mop of hair-two haircuts already
12. favorite toys are the remotes and my cell phone
13. a pro at opening all cabinet doors and climbing the stairs (when given the chance)
14. very happy and smiley
15. is a mamas boy
16. can give "5"
17. gets excited at the door when he see Faith and Sawyer get off the school bus

We are going to celebrate his b-day with a cake ordered from Wal-mart and some decorations on Mon. the 19th. Kyle has off of work and the kids don't have any school. Both sets of parents will come over. I will post pictures of his "party" and gifts next week. The photos of him in the b-day shirt are from today. We decided to give him his gift today which is the Discovery Tent. Of course, since I lack computer savy my pics. were supposed to go from his birth until the present but instead they are backward. Happy Birthday Beautiful Boy!!!! We love you!!

Beckett Walking!

Beckett has been taking 2-3 steps now for 2 weeks or so but REALLY started walking on Dec. 31st. All of a sudden, on that day, he started taking 10-15 steps. We had grandparents over that day and I think he was showing off. Here is some video I took this morning. I didn't know how to combine it into one video so watch both-they are very short. He is doing some pretty cute stuff right now but I will save all that for his one year post. I took him into Stride Rite for shoes and he needed a 4 EXTRA WIDE! I swear even the xtra wides are tight. He still has 4 teeth.
