Happy Blogiversary???

One year ago this month I started this blog. I was hesitant because I thought only people that really love themselves ALOT write blogs. That all changed once I realized how much I enjoyed other peoples blogs. There is nothing more I would love than to talk on the phone all day long to my friends but due to taking care of 4 kids, a husband and a house it just doesn't work out. My only regret is that I wish I would have started it MUCH SOONER!! I find this much easier than keeping a journal or scrapbook. I am now officially 7 1/2 years behind on scrap booking. I really do want to get my blog made into a scrapbook and am going to be looking into that in the next couple of months. I would like to think I have inspired some of my friends to start a blog!!?? To my friends out there that don't have a blog-you should really try it-it is so easy and I promise to read it and leave comments often.

The Cozy Coupe Car

In my (and Kyle's) opinion this is the #1 toddler toy. We have had this car since Faith was a toddler and all 4 kids have LOVED it. It is the best purchase that has been made (in terms of toys) for the kids. It is still in excellent condition because it has rarely been outside. It has been an inside toy because the kids have loved it so much. Kyle just brought it in from the garage to introduce to Bex. It has been fun to watch him climb in and out over and over and over again. We might have to have it bronzed when he grows out of it.

Spring Break

The kids have been on Spring Break this week and we have been busy-as always. I can't believe it is already Thurs. On Mon. Sawyer had a cavity filled. On Tues. all three kids had play dates and Faith had to have a molar extracted (she did great-thank goodness for laughing gas). On Wed. we went to my parents, went out to lunch and did some shopping. Eden spent the night with them. Today all 4 parents came to help out with the basement and I went and had the kids pics. taken in their Easter outfits. I always lose sleep the night before pictures just hoping for a few good shots. They actually did really well. I was very worried about Bex but we managed to get some decent shots of him. We have had some mild weather and the kids have really enjoyed playing outside.

Fun with Friends

Recently two of my friends (Amy and Tina) have moved home from England. I am so excited they are back and we had a chance to get together last week. Tina is 8 months pregnant with her 2nd baby (a girl) and I can't wait until she is born. In Tina fashion, she showed up at my door 8 mo. pregnant AND wearing 3 or 4 inch heels (I wore Crocs my whole pregnancy with Bex). They brought goodies and in Stacey fashion-we ordered pizza. Amy has adorable twin girls, Kendall and Kameron and Tina has Ian-who is also adorable. We were missing Faith, Sawyer and Amy's older son, Brett (who is 8). We were trying to get a "flattering" picture of the three of us together and were letting the kids try and take a photo but our thighs and butts were in all of them so I took a head shot. Amy cropped the picture she put on her blog-it makes me laugh!! I wish I could air brush my wrinkles and zit.

High School Musical on Ice!!

On Saturday I took Faith and Eden to HSM on ice along with both grandmas. It was a very fun time for me to spend with the girls (without having a wresting match with Bex.) Kyle stayed at home with Sawyer and Bex and they went out to eat, to the park and got ice cream. Eden is OBSESSED with all three High School Musical movies. When we got there she didn't even want to look at the food or overpriced souvenirs- she just wanted to get straight to our seats. At the intermission she still didn't want to leave her seat in fear she might miss something. She wanted popcorn and for me to go and get it. After it was all over she then wanted to check out the souvenirs. Faith enjoyed it as well but since she is now "10", I think that she thinks she is too old to act excited about it. After that we went to dinner at the Springob's house. Kyle worked with Steve at GE many years ago in Wisconsin. They stayed in touch and then moved here right before we moved to England. We were all pretty bummed out about that. When we all lived in Wisconsin they didn't have any kids yet but now they have 3. We had a great time with them and love to get together. We are STILL working on the basement and are now on the hunt for a wooden play set for the backyard.

I Love Babies!!

No, I'm not pregnant-that won't be happening again-ever (quiet sob). My two best friends from high school, Amy and Shelly, both added new additions to their families in February. Shelly and Jeff welcomed their daughter, Aleigha Clare Lan Bittner. Brian and Amy welcomed Hallee May Johnson. Aleigha is just 10 days younger than Beckett and Hallee was born on Faith and Sawyer's b-day. We got together today for lunch and I loved every minute of it. My mother-in-law came and watched my kids so I could enjoy the babies and run some errands today. I love Amy and Shelly and am so grateful they are in my life. We have been friends for forever. Shelly just lives a couple of subdivisions away. Her son, Grayson, and Sawyer are good buddies and attend the same school. Amy lives in the same place we grew up and teaches 2nd grade there. She is about an hour away. It is always a good time when we get together. They both have beautiful children and I will be loving watching them grow up. The fact that they both just added babies to their families also makes me feel younger. Here are some photos from today. Aren't they all adorable!!?? Sorry, no pictures of the mom's-it was all about me and the babies. Who would have thought that we would have all of these kids between us (9 to be exact)? I remember when we were just boy crazy 6th graders.

Field Trip

Today, Eden's pre-school class took a field trip to a nature center. We learned how maple syrup is made. In the one photo (I took while driving) you can see the buckets attached to the trees. The syrup actually looks like water when it comes out of the tree. We got to see where they boil it plus have a taste. You could also buy some for about $10 a pint. I passed. I will just keep buying the Great Value Syrup at Wal-mart with all the additives for $1.67. They also had a building with some snakes, turtles and animal pelts for kids to look at. I took Beckett and he resided-most of the time-in his backpack. We had a fun time.

Eden and Beckett

Beckett really enjoys his brother and sisters. I think he will be terribly bored with me when they are all in school this fall. He loves it when anyone is on the ground. He will immediately attempt to lay or sit on whoever it is. He is very affectionate and loves to give kisses and lay his head on you and make "ahhh" noises. He is currently very interested in those mysterious black holes on the middle of ones' face (aka nostrils). You can see him attempting to put his finger in Eden's.

Spring Day

We have recently been able to enjoy some warmer (although windy) temps. Kyle's mom brought the kids over a kite and with some help, Eden was able to fly it. She really enjoyed it.

Sawyer Gets Baptized

On Sat. Feb. 28th Sawyer was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He had a great baptism and we had a great showing of support from a lot of wonderful friends. Sawyer was very excited. He is now wanting to wear a tie every week to church. I don't know if he will have a lot of memories from the day but the fact that it was a happy day is what we hope he remembers. He knows he is doing what Jesus wants him to do. We are very proud of him. I really think we are now seeing a Sawyer who wants to do what is right. I hope it lasts.

Faith's Slumber Party

I wanted to add some things that have been going on recently. Faith's sleepover went really well! I was expecting the worst and it was so easy. I didn't really plan any activities although Faith and I had a few "back-up" plans in case things got boring. They NEVER got bored. There were 6 girls including Faith-all great friends and nice girls. We had planned on having our basement finished in time but it didn't get done-big shocker-I don't know if it will ever get done. It really is getting closer-Kyle has the priming all done, my dad got the doors in, wood and ceramic is in-all that is left before the kids can play down there is the paint, trim and carpet-it's all this stuff that will take so long. Anyways, Faith has a huge bedroom so that helped a ton. The girls mostly stayed up there and talked, made videos and goofed around. They came downstairs for awhile and played Rockband2 and Wii and ate some food. We also made skillet cookies. They went to sleep at 1 am and were awake at around 7 am. They ate donuts and chocolate milk for breakfast, watched some T.V., played in Faith's room more and I took them home at around 11 am. I will TOTALLY let her have another sleepover. Fun times. Here are a few photos.

Jonas Brothers 3-D

I took Faith and Eden to see the new Jonas Brothers 3-D concert tonight. We were the only people in our theater. It was great although it freaked Faith out a little that we were all alone in there. It cost $12 a ticket-what the heck!!?? It last just over an hour. It was actually really good. We have the C.D. in the car so I knew all the words. Eden is in love with The Jonas Brothers (especially Nick). She was pretty cute sitting there with her huge 3-D glasses on with a huge bucket of popcorn in her lap taking it all in. I wish I would have had my camera. I have to admit that I enjoy The Jonas Brothers. I am happy that I have little girls to take so that I am not the weird lady all alone in the theater.
